According to our most recent Handshake Network Trends report, 87% of job seekers believe that messaging with an employer may lead to a job. And students are more likely to respond to an employer after receiving a personalized message (we even put together seven inspiring recruiting message templates to get you started).
With new Advanced Candidate Filters, you can make your recruiting outreach even more personal by identifying and messaging candidates based on the types of interactions they’ve had with your brand, jobs, and events. You can also drill down into specific events or fairs they’ve attended or RSVPed to, or jobs they’ve applied to for any date range—giving you the opportunity to create multiple meaningful touchpoints with students.

For most colleges and universities, creating an engaged, supportive alumni network is crucial to their institution’s success. In fact, our team has found that Handshake’s higher education partners are more likely to approve employers that have at least one alumni connection to their institution. Getting your connections requests approved by schools results in a more positive employer trust score.
Now, Alumni Hub helps our higher education partners build, track, and nurture relationships with alumni contacts, like you, across the Handshake network. Build credibility with school partners and provide more access for students to form professional connections with your company by adding your alma mater to your profile in your User Settings.

When it comes to your calendar, it’s important to have all of your meetings and events organized in one seamless place. That’s why we’re giving you the ability to add schedules and employer-hosted events directly to your personal or work calendar.
Whether you’re using Google, iCal, or Outlook, you can quickly add events to your calendar to prevent scheduling conflicts with candidates and keep your free time to yourself —your teammates will thank you for the transparency, too.
