Handshake continually aims to create products that are accessible, usable, and inclusive for everyone, including our users with disabilities. Our objective is to enable all users — including students, professionals, education partners, and employers — to easily and quickly find the information they need without experiencing barriers in accessing our applications. Our Efforts to Ensure Accessible Content
Handshake is committed to building products that are usable and conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level 2.1 AA. While we endeavor to achieve universal design, we recognize that this is a continual process and have implemented the following best practices towards meeting our goal of full accessibility:
- Training and learning opportunities for Handshake staff, including our front-end designers and developers.
- Ensure we take into consideration principles of accessible and usable design and development as core requirements.
- Regular testing of our products, both in-house and through a third-party accessibility verification. If accessibility barriers are discovered, we work to remediate any issues as soon as possible.

Handshake’s software conformance reports are available in the table below. Each follows the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). We test our products using WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
