Here at Handshake, we're always rolling out product enhancements to make early talent recruitment even easier for you and your team. To kick off 2022, we’re excited to announce new features that help you improve your brand awareness during virtual events, connect with more schools, and drive meaningful relationships with students. Check out what’s new this month!
Showing logos to improve your brand awareness during virtual events
As uncertain as the pandemic might be, one thing remains true: virtual events are here to stay. And with spring recruiting season around the corner, we want to ensure your brand is memorable in a virtual environment. Now, all events and career fairs using Handshake video will feature your company’s logo as part of the introduction screen and during the call itself. Whether you’re speaking as part of a career fair, hosting an event, or having an informal Virtual Info Chat, candidates are sure to keep your brand top-of-mind.
Connect with more schools—even if it doesn’t work out the first time
Today, schools on Handshake are independently responsible for approving or declining your requests to connect with them. Last year, we updated decline reasons in Handshake to provide employers more clarity and actionability.
Since then, many of our higher ed partners have shared that as long as employers take action on the decline reason/s, they are open to approving a second request. So to make it easier for you to connect with more schools over time, you now have the ability to easily initiate a second request for school approval in Handshake.
Pro tip for this spring! Drive meaningful relationships through Virtual Info Chats
Virtual info chats in Handshake provide a way for employers to connect quickly with students
According to recent Handshake usage data, candidates who engage with employers one on one are 36% more likely to apply to a job. To compete for talent in 2022, use Virtual Info Chats to facilitate those first connections and make it easier for you to build relationships with candidates at scale.
Virtual Info Chats are 15-minute video sessions that you can host directly within Handshake to proactively build relationships with interested students, get them excited about your company and jobs, and raise awareness of your employer brand to improve application conversions.
